Abstract

Ä¡°ú¿¡¼­ ÇàÇØÁö´Â ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀÌ ¾ÈÀüÇÏ°Ô ¼öÇàµÇ±â À§Çؼ­´Â ȯÀÚ¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ¸ð´ÏÅÍ°¡ ÇʼöÀûÀÌ´Ù. ¿ì¸® ³ª¶ó¿¡¼­ ¼Ò¾ÆÄ¡°úÀǻ翡 ÀÇÇØ ÀÌ·ç¾îÁö´Â ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ý¿¡ °üÇØ ¾Ë¾Æº¸°íÀÚ ´ëÇѼҾÆÄ¡°úÇÐȸ ȸ¿ø 245¸íÀ» ´ë»óÀ¸·Î 1998³â 10¿ù 1ÀϺÎÅÍ 1998³â 12¿ù 20ÀϱîÁö ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀÇ »ç¿ë¿©ºÎ ¹× »ç¿ëÇÏ´Â ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀÇ ºóµµ, ¹æ¹ý, »ç¿ëÇÏ´Â ¾à¹°, ¿ë·® °áÁ¤, ¸ð´ÏÅÍ ¿©ºÎ, ÀÀ±ÞÀåºñ µî¿¡ °üÇÑ ¼³¹®Á¶»ç¸¦ ½Ç½ÃÇÏ¿© ´ÙÀ½°ú °°Àº °á·ÐÀ» ¾ò¾ú´Ù-
1. ¼³¹®Áö ÀÀ´äÀÚÀÇ 29%¿¡¼­ ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀ» ÀÌ¿ëÇÏ¿© Ä¡·á¸¦ ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î Á¶»çµÇ¾ú´Ù. ¼³¹®Áö ÀÀ´äÀÚÀÇ 71%¿¡¼­´Â ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀ» ÇÏÁö ¾Ê´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î Á¶»çµÇ¾ú´Ù.
2. ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀ» »ç¿ëÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷ Áß 61%¿¡¼­¸¸ ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ý Ä¡·á½Ã ¸ð´ÏÅ͸¦ »ç¿ëÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î Á¶»çµÇ¾ú´Ù. ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀ» »ç¿ëÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷ÀÇ 39%¿¡¼­´Â ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ý Ä¡·á½Ã ¸ð´ÏÅ͸¦ »ç¿ëÇÏÁö ¾Ê´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î Á¶»çµÇ¾ú´Ù.
3. °¡Àå ÈçÇÏ°Ô »ç¿ëµÇ´Â ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀº ¾Æ»êÈ­Áú¼Ò-»ê¼Ò¸¦ ÀÌ¿ëÇÑ ÈíÀÔÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀ̾ú´Ù. ±× ¿Ü¿¡ °æ±¸ Åõ¿©½Ã °¡Àå ÈçÇÏ°Ô »ç¿ëµÇ´Â ¾à¹°Àº chloral hydrate¿´´Ù.
4. ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀ» »ç¿ëÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷ÀÇ 28%¿¡¼­¸¸ µ¿ÀǼ­¸¦ ÀÛ¼ºÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î Á¶»çµÇ¾ú´Ù.
5. ÁøÁ¤¿ä¹ýÀ» ÀÌ¿ëÇÏ¿© Ä¡·á¸¦ ÇÑ´Ù°í ÀÀ´äÇÑ »ç¶÷ÀÇ 60%¿¡¼­¸¸ ÀÀ±ÞÀåºñ¸¦ ±¸ºñÇÏ°í ÀÖÀ¸¸ç, ÀÀ´äÀÚÀÇ 91%¿¡¼­ ÀÀ±Þóġ¿¡ °üÇÑ ±³À°ÀÌ ÇÊ¿äÇÏ´Ù°í ÀÀ´äÇÏ¿´´Ù.

Monitoring of patients is essential in assuring the safety of sedation in the dental office. The purpose of this study was to explore the utilization and preferences of sedation ,utilization of monitoring methods, and the preparation for emergencies during sedation.
Members of the Korean Academy of Pediatric Dentistry were surveyed(n=245) from 1998. 10. 1 to 1998. 12. 20 to establish current trends in the use of sedation practices and monitoring methods in Korea.
Findings of the survey include :
1. Twenty nine percent of pediatric dentists use sedative agents in their practices. Seventy one percent of pediatric dentists do not use any sedative agents in their practices
2. Thirty nine percent of pediatric dentists who use sedative agents do so without monitoring de-vices
3. Nitrous oxide inhalation sedation was the most frequently utilized sedation method by pediatric dentists and chloral hydrate was the most frequently utilized sedative by pediatric dentists. Pulse oximeter was the most frequently utilized monitoring method during sedation in dental office.
4. Only twenty eight percent of pediatric dentists obtain the informed consent of the child¢¥ s le-gal guardian.
5. Only sixty percent of pediatric dentists prepare for emergencies during sedation.
